Jason Blake—Vice President, Group Account Director

As the media landscape continues to shift and slide in ways never predicted, companies are increasingly searching for true experts in the field to steer their brands through the storm of change, new technology and non-traditional marketing. Jason Blake embodies this ideal of a brand development specialist across multiple channels, bringing to life the STRATEGIC mantra of taking brands places they’ve never been.

Living the world of integrated marketing, branded entertainment, engagement, media-agnostic programs and whatever the latest industry buzzword is, Jason has always been focused on connecting brands with their consumers. He began his career in the sales group (and as a thoroughly disappointed aspiring point guard) with the Indiana Pacers, then making the move to ESPN where he worked across all sports developing innovative sponsorships and promotions. He created customized marketing programs and branded content for advertising sales clients while crafting multimedia platforms for ESPN’s proprietary properties including the X Games, college hoops tournaments, bowl games, golf tournaments, and award shows. This led Jason to ESPN Internet Group where he directed the sponsorship development and marketing across ESPN.com, ESPN Fantasy, and the league web sites for NASCAR, the NBA, and the NFL. He was integral to the launch of many new initiatives including EXPN.com, ESPNdeportes.com, e-commerce, and wireless.

After ESPN, Jason founded and ran a branded entertainment and non-traditional marketing agency that produced work for AOL, Discovery Channel, Miller Brewing Company, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN (including the development of ESPN Dream Job). Then it was on to Clear Channel where he was part of The Team that started their Branded Cities division, integrating brands into premier sports & entertainment real estate properties.

Joining the leadership ranks of an established and winning team here at STRATEGIC, Jason has been charged with the management of key accounts and the integration of new media, non-traditional, and branded content into the agency portfolio. His expertise, talent and passion will inspire and drive efforts to grow existing client brands and, in turn, the agency business.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Jason now resides in Essex County, New Jersey with his wife Amy and their daughter Zoey.
